Lapis Lazuli

Hey Insiders! Welcome to the Well!

I carry a lot of stress in my throat chakra region, which is associated with self expression, insight, intuition, speech, intellect, communication, and much more. We carry our stress in specific regions of our body. You can find the chakra that corresponds to your areas of tension to discover ways in which your energy might be blocked.

A few months ago I purchased a Lapis Lazuli necklace to wear, since it is one of the stones connected with the throat chakra and thought to help promote balance. Lapis Lazuli has been valuable to many cultures throughout history; the Egyptians buried their dead with it because they believed it to possess protective powers.

On a very basic level, my use of Lapis Lazuli represents my commitment to balancing my energy, exploring reasons for stress, and taking care of myself. There are many different stones people use for healing, check out an overview of some other stone and crystals and their associated properties here.
