I’ve been on a sugar kick the past few days. I know it’s not great for me, but in the midst of stressors sometimes it’s easy to slip up. In this post I am going to share a video that offers an explanation of why we crave sugar. Personally, I’ve been eating the official cookie of NASCAR (nutter butter – you know you aren’t on a health kick when your snacks are endorsed by NASCAR).
If you do find yourself in the midst of a sugar bender, remember to be kind and gentle with yourself. It’s easier to get and stay on track with healthy eating goals when we are nice to ourselves.
I usually opt for a banana mixed with raw cacao powder to fix my sweet tooth, which offers many nutritional benefits in addition to satisfying my craving.
